From the very beginning of Moonfire, back in 2019, two driving forces defined who we are and our mission: visionary founders and transformative technology. But our old website didn’t fully capture that story.

We’ve launched a new website to set this right. This isn’t a new Moonfire; it’s a reintroduction. Our guiding philosophy is the same as it’s always been: that the most transformative innovations emerge from companies that use data to drive efficiency, quality, and access. Our founders and our technology are the heart of that story.

We invest where our sectors of focus intersect with ambitious, technically-minded European founders. That’s why our homepage now showcases the stories of these ambitious, technically-minded founders first – from Filigran’s Samuel Hassine and Julien Richard to Orchestra’s Hugo Lu and Will Davies – highlighting the great products and businesses they’re developing.

We believe that advances in data infrastructure, compounding AI model performance, and falling costs – combined with mass AI adoption and Europe's concentration of high-calibre STEM graduates – will continue to generate enormous opportunities here. But the next generation of early-stage European founders are missing a home, one to rival the kind that exists in the US venture ecosystem.

Our website now better communicates our philosophy and ambition to create this home. And, as technologists and engineers ourselves, we are uniquely able to build it.

Moonfire is a team of builders – the only European early-stage VC with more engineers than investors, developing our own technology stack to accelerate our founders’ journeys faster than ever before.

This is a new form of venture, the 10x VC, where a team armed with data, algorithms, and in-house software can execute with better knowledge and greater velocity than anyone else in the industry. Our sourcing, screening, evaluation and decision pipeline, powered by proprietary large-scale data infrastructure and custom ML models, is rethinking the entire investment process, from sourcing to exit.

We can find – sourcing up to four million new companies a quarter – and support the best early-stage startups in Europe and beyond that fit our investment thesis, merging human and machine to transform the scale and accuracy of venture. This drives consistent quality across our opportunity pipeline and decisions-making around investments, as well as repeatable value-creation for our founders. And we can be the best partner to those ambitious, technically-minded founders who we think will succeed and generate outsized returns over the coming years, supercharging their growth.

But we’re not just building for ourselves.

It started with our portfolio simulator, enabling anyone to design their early-stage investment strategy and calculate the optimal mathematical portfolio size.

Now, with Launchpad, we’ve built an all-in-one platform for investors, with plans to expand it for founders and, eventually, the whole Moonfire community. Right now, it massively enhances our productivity and decision quality. It helps us analyse and report on meetings with AI-powered live transcription; auto-populate, enrich and structure data on potential opportunities; continuously evaluate emerging founders; and offer them the best support.

We’re working towards releasing tooling for founders: tools and resources to accelerate growth, personalised metrics and feedback to track and enhance performance, and professional datasets for talent search. And, in time, our vision is for it to become the hub for collaboration, execution, fundraising, and networking, with access for our community of founders, partners and industry experts.
